The only restaurant I know that doesn't give a price before approaching the window and has terrible customer service when arriving.
- Ok food
- Order takers are never listening
Preferred solution: Cookout franchise needs some sort of training.
User's recommendation: Attempt to showcase professionalism since they lack it.
Terrible Communication
I LOVE the food, but...
This occurred at the Kannapolis, NC location. (901 S Cannon Blvd):
I pulled into the right side as it was empty, and the sign says to use the shorter line.
When I got to the speaker (always a challenge), I was told to go to the walk-up line or the left drive-up line.
1.
Why not put a cone in that line to keep people from using a dysfunctional line?!
2. Tell me it would only be (period of time) and let me decide... after I'd gone to the other drive-up line, I saw another car use the right line and get right thru.
When I ordered my Cajun Chicken sandwich tray, I wanted a Coke Zero... I was told by the girl (Jordan M?) on the speaker that Coke Zero was unavailable at this location...
I mentioned it was ON THE SIGN and was told it was a general sign...
1. Why not use a piece of red duct tape or vinyl tape to cover the item?
2. Why not actually offer the items listed on your sign?!
I looked for the telephone number on the receipt...
I had been given the Merchant copy... I can only guess that was so I wouldn't have the customer copy WITH the number.
Not my favorite experience.
- Food is good and reasonably priced
- Speakers are almost unintelligible and the sign lists items you cant order
Preferred solution: The sign altered
User's recommendation: Be prepared to be jerked around a bit. Food is great. Procedures? Not so much.

Went to the Cookout in Spartanburg, SC on Reidville Rd, ordered 3 corndogs a large frie & chocolate shake. When I got to the windows I had already seen the bag she was giving me was wrong because of the items on the receipt, I told her that's not my order so she asked what did I have so I told her, so now she still gives me the bag with burnt hushpuppies & I tell her again I'm suppose to have fries not hushpuppies while all of this is going on she has my corndogs at her counter I had already received my chocolate shake so she takes bag give me my fries but holds my corndogs that are sitting on the counter so I'm still sitting their and she shove the box with the corndogs in my hand and I let her know I'm calling corporate, it definitely ot my fault because she was trying to give me someone else's order & the corndogs was burnt that I cut some of the hotdogs & the batter off just terrible customer service.

Drive through cashier was very rude I don't know if she was having a rough day or what but we asked her to put our orders into separate bags because they were going to two different places and she said we can put them in the same bag she does not need to be dealing with customers with this attitude. There was also hair in my foodnope

Your manager at the Main Street Suffolk, VA store is in desperate need of good customer service etiquette. He has zero professional skills in customer service.
Caucasian male, black hair Mohawk, shaved sides. Who promoted him? My family and I waited 7 minutes at the register, and as we were about to walk out of the restaurant, this guy walked up.
With no apology at all, no thank you for your patience, nothing. He sets a bad example for his associates/employees.
- Good food
- Poor service
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Speak up and don't let these so called leaders get away with this kind of treatment.

Haven't as much as had a missed call... haven't heard anything!
Cookout has had plenty of time to call back... I've called them twice.
Poor customer service
As we ordered our food Jessica the young lady taking our order was very rude as we had another part to the order. As we pulled to the window our food was given to us in the carry out container with no bag.
Just forcefully placed in the hands of the driver. When asked for sauce much attitude was given and fries forgotten. When asked for those much attitude was given as well. Then another worker came to the window with the fries looking as if we were wrong.
Worst experience ever the food was cold and thrown together. NOT HAPPY AT ALL, the disrespect was really not good her customer service skills are awful and makes your business look BAD
Messed up orders
1st tray was a spicy chicken that was so dry and burnt you couldnt even break it with burnt cheddar bite and hush puppies
2nd tray the chicken strips were burnt and it was supposed to to have fries and cheddar bits with NO CAJUN SEASONING they put it on there anyways
3rd tray the chicken strips were burnt along with the cheddar bites and the chicken quesadilla was supposed to just be chicken and cheese it was covered in spicy sauce
Also they have no number to contact the store which make me even more irate
Customer experience
I searched on google the cookout that was near me. It showed that it was closing in 30 minutes.
I get there 15 minutes before closing and this lady meet me me at the window with an attitude asking why I was sitting at the window(with the window closed).
I then asked her were they closed because no one answered at the speaker. She said yes, we closed 15 minutes ago.

When I got home and began to eat my big double burger, I bit into it and both patties were burnt. The fries tasted like they were refried in oil because they were very hard, crunchy, and a darker brown.
User's recommendation: What you pay your money for should be what you expect to get because money is scarce

No fast food place is going to “black out” items they ran out of on an exterior drive-thru sign. You need to calm down over a few wasted minutes ordering garbage good or that coronary you are feeding is going to happen sooner rather than later. I’m glad you feel superior intelligence-wise with your suggestions.
